Why Choose Bethany Day Nursery

We understand that your child is precious

We recognise that as a parent looking for suitable childcare, you are concerned about leaving your child in the care of others. Rest assured, our top priority is the happiness and wellbeing of your child. Some of our parents have been with us for many years as we have looked after all their children. Several staff members also have children of their own, who have attended our nursery, so they understand the concerns of our parents. Your child will be settled gently into our nursery, taking as much time as you both need to feel comfortable. All of our settling in sessions are free of charge.

We are an independent provider and are flexible to meet your individual needs

Bethany Day Nursery is a family run business so we are unique! We do not belong to a chain of nurseries giving us the advantage of utilising all our energy and resources on delivering excellent childcare. All our rooms have a cosy, warm feel, giving your child that ‘home from home’ feeling so that children are gently eased into the world of formal education. We are committed to meeting the needs of all our families and as an independent provider, we can more easily tailor our childcare to your requirements including shift-work; part-time or term-time only.

We employ highly dedicated staff that provide excellent care for your child

At Bethany Day Nursery you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome. Our staff take time to get to know each child and their family. We have carefully chosen our staff for their qualifications, experience and positive attitude towards working with the children at our nursery. The majority of our staff have been with us for a significant number of years and we don’t have high staff turnover, unlike some other providers. The Nursery Manager is Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) qualified. All staff have an Enhanced DBS check and all qualified staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid.

We provide a high quality education, which is exactly the same education as nursery schools

We deliver exactly the same curriculum as school based nurseries as we adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage. Unlike school based nurseries, we have significantly fewer children in our classrooms, giving your child the individual attention they need to flourish. With us, your child is an individual, not a number! We recognise that moving from nursery to formal education can be daunting, so we transition children more gradually than school based nurseries. Also, all our children go to the local schools so your child will already have several friends with them when they start primary school.

We focus on the benefits of outdoor learning and have excellent outdoor play facilities

We place a very high emphasis on outdoor play which ensures that the children in our care appreciate nature. We have an extensive range of outdoor toys and learning materials. Our outdoor resources include a ‘mud kitchen’, as well as a covered soft play area in the garden for children to enjoy in all types of weather. Our nature garden gives children the opportunity to plant and grow vegetables and herbs which they care for and when the time is right, eat at snack time.

We provide excellent Value for Money

We offer exceptional Value for Money as we are very extremely competitively priced, with all nappies and meals being included in the price. Settling sessions are also free of charge. Unlike most other childcare providers, we do not charge extra for meals or snacks when children attend sessions using the Local Authority funding allocation of 15 or 30 hours.
